With the most recent release of InfraLink (v3.5.37), we are happy to offer the following new features and functionality.

System Construction and Commissioning

The release of InfraLink v3.5.37 expands Production module capabilities to support projects that rely on advanced workflows for managing their production/construction processes. Learn more below.

Bulk Cloning Capabilities for Advanced Workflow Configuration

Production and installation procedures are often similar across projects, and Work Packages are the InfraLink Cases that track this type of work. As Work Packages rely on numerous configurations, the ability to clone elements from one project (i.e., Contract) to another offers project teams considerable time savings. Cloning configurations also helps ensure the consistent execution of Projects.

While the ability to clone a singular Work Package Template is not new, the process could not be performed in bulk. With improvements in v3.5.37 of InfraLink, Work Package Templates can be cloned in bulk. That is, more than one can be cloned at a time.

Cloning Order for Production Configurations: When cloning Work Package configurations, actions must be completed in the necessary order.

  1. Applicable Custom Fields and Forms are associated with the target Contract.
  2. Task Template(s) is cloned to the target Contract.
  3. Sequence Template(s) is cloned to the target Contract.
  4. The Work Package Templates are cloned to the Target Contract.

What You Will See in the User Interface

  • When cloning a Work Package Template, the System Element Type configurations within the Criteria tab of the Clone Work Package Template form will no longer be dumped when the Contract field (General tab) is populated with the target Contract.
  • If cloned successfully, the details panel of the new Work Package Template will display both the associated Task Templates as well as Sequence Templates.

Sequence Template Display within System Element Life Cycle and Status Panels

The accurate association of Sequence Templates to their System Element components (Statuses and Life Cycles) is key to their functionality. To quickly view the association between Sequence Templates and the System Element Statuses or Life Cycles referenced in the configuration, InfraLink now displays an additional "Sequence Templates" section in the details panel of System Element Statuses and Life Cycles. The section will display the Sequence Template Name, associated Contract, and Created date only if that Status or Life Cycle is referenced in the Sequence Template configuration.

What You Will See in the User Interface:

  • |System Element Life Cycle Details panels now display a Sequence Template section listing the Sequence Templates, with associated Contracts and Created dates, that reference that Life Cycle.
  • System Element Status Details panels now display a Sequence Template section listing the Sequence Templates, with associated Contracts and Created dates, that reference that Status.

System O&M

The release of InfraLink v3.5.37 expands the already robust set of operations and maintenance capabilities while introducing the ability to aggregate and display data related to Case labor.

Estimated Case Labor Calculations

InfraLink v3.5.37 introduces the "Estimated Time" field for Preventative Maintenance and Task Type Cases, displaying the amount (in hours) of estimated labor necessary to complete the scope of that Case. Currently, the system takes into consideration a few separate fields to calculate the total amount. For Preventative Maintenance type Cases, the system reviews the "Estimated Time To Complete" value per Work Form, aggregating the total amount based on how many PM Tasks the Case is comprised of. For Task type Cases, the system utilizes the "Est. Hours" value set in the Task Template configuration under the System Element Tab, aggregating the total amount based on how many Device Tasks the Case is comprised of.

Future Releases

The Estimated Time field is currently displaying only for Preventative Maintenance Type and Task Type Cases. Future releases of InfraLink will include additional aggregation fields across different Case Categories to better represent Case labor hours.

What You Will See in the User Interface:

  • The All Cases grid view now includes an "Estimated Time" column.
  • The top section of Case Details panels now display an "Estimated Time" field.

General Scalability and Usability

The release of InfraLink v3.5.37 was primarily a maintenance release intended for the review and resolve of pre-identified bugs in the system. In addition, all Details Panel have now fully transitioned to the new User Experience with the Classic User Experience no longer available
