With the most recent release of Infralink/IMMS (v.3.5.21), we are happy to offer the following new features and functionality.

Exporting Text and Numeric Fields to Excel

IMMS allows Users to export grid view data sets into properly formatted Excel spreadsheets via default or customized templates. Historically, default templates have exported all columns (even numeric columns) as text fields slightly altering data formatting. With this release, default template Excel exports have been optimized to recognize numeric versus text fields and configure the export columns accordingly.

What You Will See in the User Interface:

The UI tools and guidance for exporting grid data are not impacted by this release. However, Users will notice the following changes in Excel export files:

  • The Excel export is configured to represent dates and times as: m/d/yy h:mm AM/PM
  • The Excel export is configured to represent decimal fields as: 0.00
  • The Excel export is configured to represent multi-value custom fields as text

Bulk Cloning Sequence Templates

When setting up Task-based workflows to support multi-step projects and installations, IMMS has offered Users the option to clone a single, existing Task Sequence Template to individual Contracts. With this release IMMS now allows bulk cloning Sequence Templates to a target Contract. In order to do so, the target Contract must have the Task Templates associated with the Sequence Templates.

What You Will See in the User Interface:

  • The Sequence Templates View offers the "Clone" button when selecting multiple Sequence Templates.
  • The "Clone" button will open the Select Contract window
  • If the target Contract does not contain the necessary Task Templates in the cloning Sequence Templates, a warning will appear stating "There are no Task Template(s) _Task Template Names_ in the target Contract _Contract Name_".
