Work Forms Categories are simply text tags defined by the Instance Administrator. Categories allow for effective navigation and selection of Work Forms.

Creating Work Form Categories
- From the top-level navigation toolbar, select the Configure menu.
- Select Workflows, Etc.
- From the Settings menu, along the left side of the screen, use the arrow/carrot to the left of Work Form to access drop-down options.
- Select Work Form Categories to open the Work Form Categories dictionary.
- Existing Work Form Categories will be displayed.
- To create a new Work Form Category, select the New button at the top of the view.
- This opens the New Work Form Category form
- Populate the two (2) required fields:
- Name - Give your new Work Form Category a Name that clearly and concisely describes its purpose. The Category Name may include the equipment to which it applies, the recurrence of the task, the responsible party's name, or any other identifying information that assists users in properly selecting the form for use.
- Type - The Type drop-down menu offers three Work Form Category Type options.
- Note: Reference the table below for guidance on Type selection.
- Populate the two (2) required fields:
- Select the OK button in the bottom right corner of the form.
- The newly created Work Form Category will now appear within the Work Form Categories dictionary.
About Work Form Types

Editing Work Form Categories
- From the top-level navigation toolbar, select the Configure menu.
- Select Workflows, Etc.
- From the Settings menu, along the left side of the screen, use the arrow/carrot to the left of Work Form to access drop-down options.
- Select Work Form Categories to open the Work Form Categories dictionary.
- Existing Work Form Categories will be displayed.
- Select the Work Form Category you wish to edit.
- Select the Edit button from the top of the view.
- You will be presented with the Edit Work Form Category form.
- Modify the category Name and Type as needed.
- Select OK.
Deleting Work Form Categories
Once created, Work Form Categories cannot be deleted.
