Users can access, search and view Asset records within InfraLink from a variety of standard grid views. These Asset-specific views are accessible via the Main Menu, under the Materials Inventory stack and follow the general layout presented within the Case, Location, and System Element grid views.

This article introduces the following topics related to viewing Asset records in InfraLink.

All Assets View

To access the All Assets view, click on “All Assets” under the Materials Inventory section of the Main Menu. The All Assets view will open, displaying a list of existing Assets.  From here, you are able to:

  • Filter the list according to a set of parameters available on the left-side panel
  • Click on any listed Asset to open its Asset Details panel

As noted above, clicking on any Asset listed in the All Assets view will open the corresponding Asset Details panel. From the Asset Details panel, you can view Asset attributes, edit the Asset, or view information on a deployed Asset’s System Element hierarchy.

To edit the Asset, use the Edit button on the Asset Details panel.  This function allows a User to change Asset details (e.g., Asset Tag, Serial Number, MAC address, etc.)

From the Asset Details panel, you can also select the System Element to open the System Element Details panel.

Spares View

To access the Spares view, click on “Spares” under the Materials Inventory section of the Main Menu. The Spares view will open, displaying a list of all “In Stock” Assets.

Much like the All Assets panel described directly above, clicking on any Asset listed in the Spares view will open the corresponding Asset Details panel.

Summary by Model View

To access the Summary by Model view, click on “Summary by Model” under the Materials Inventory section of the Main Menu. The Summary by Model view will open, displaying a list of all the various Manufacturers’ Models managed in InfraLink.  Beyond the Manufacturer and Model, columns in this view will also display the following information for each Model: Type, Total Deployed, Usable Stock, Not Usable Stock, Usable Other and Not Usable Other.

Much like the All Assets panel described directly above, clicking on any Asset listed in the Summary by Model view will open the corresponding Asset Details panel.

Analysis and Reporting

The three views introduced above support export data to Excel/CSV files which allows for an extensive analysis, creation of various charts, including pivot charts, and reporting. Two of those views, All Assets and Spares, also support bulk record creation and bulk record update via import from a properly formatted CSV file. User with permissions to edit Assets can export a list of Assets, edit them in Excel and import updates via Import Assets option. This feature is very useful for updating very large lists of Assets.

Deployment Log

To access the Deployment Log view, click on “Deployment Log” under the Materials Inventory section of the Main Menu. The Deployment Log view will open, displaying a list of Assets with information columns displaying deployment details.  Users can select deployment criteria from the filters panel to filter Assets displayed.

Much like the All Assets panel described directly above, clicking on any Asset listed in the Deployment Log view will open the corresponding Asset Details panel.
