InfraLink data records, such as Asset Models, System Elements, Locations, and Assets can be created or updated by way of individual manual entries. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to enter a large quantity of information into InfraLink at once.
For example, if an Instance of InfraLink is being configured for a new project, it may be necessary to import all known System information (e.g., design drawings, System Elements, Assets, etc.) at the onset. With an existing InfraLink Instance, a materials manager may routinely create numerous new Assets at once upon receiving a large material shipment.
A large data entry can be easily accomplished in bulk using a properly formatted CSV file and the InfraLink Import feature. The InfraLink Import feature is a useful and time-saving tool for both creating new records and updating existing records in InfraLink.
