The Asset Lifecycle configuration parameters discussed below allow for reliable data integrity and consistent application of key business rules.
The IMMS InfraLink Asset Lifecycle configuration consists of the following elements:
- Asset Statuses - At any point in time, each Asset may be in one of the IMMSInfraLink-defined Statuses (e.g., New, Deployed, etc.)
- Allowed Status transitions - As illustrated in the Asset Lifecycle Progression diagram below, only certain Status transitions make sense operationally. The allowed Status transitions, maintained as part of the IMMS InfraLink Asset Lifecycle configuration, prevent Users from making Asset Status changes that do not make operational sense.
- Status characteristics - The Asset Status characteristics drive enforcement of the Asset Lifecycle business rules.
